Cooked.wiki makes it easy to adjust recipes to fit your needs, whether you’re cooking for one or a crowd.

Scaling Servings

Adjust recipe quantities automatically:

  1. Open any recipe in your collection
  2. Find the servings adjustment tool at the top of the ingredient list
  3. Use the + and - buttons or enter a specific number of servings
  4. All ingredient quantities will automatically recalculate

Measurement Conversions

Switch between measurement systems:

  1. Click the “Unit Preferences” button near the ingredients list
  2. Select your preferred measurement system (metric, imperial, or mixed)
  3. Ingredients will convert automatically while maintaining proper ratios

Half and Double Recipes

Quick scaling for common adjustments:

  1. Use the “½×”, “1×”, or “2×” buttons below the recipe title
  2. Ingredients will instantly scale to half, normal, or double portions
  3. Cooking times will include suggestions for adjustments when necessary

Smart Scaling

Cooked.wiki’s smart scaling handles special cases:

  • Small quantities are rounded to reasonable measurements
  • Temperature settings and cooking times include adjustment notes
  • Non-scalable instructions are flagged with a note
