✏️ Editing a recipe
Customize any recipe in your Cooked.wiki collection to match your preferences and cooking style.
Basic Recipe Editing
Make changes to any saved recipe:
- Open the recipe you want to edit
- Click the “Edit” button in the top-right corner
- Modify any part of the recipe (ingredients, instructions, cooking times, etc.)
- Click “Save” to update the recipe
Ingredient Adjustments
Refine recipe ingredients:
- In edit mode, click on any ingredient to modify it
- Change quantities, measurements, or ingredient types
- Add new ingredients by clicking “Add Ingredient”
- Reorder ingredients by dragging and dropping
Instruction Modifications
Update cooking instructions:
- Edit existing steps by clicking on them in edit mode
- Add new steps with the “Add Step” button
- Include images or videos for specific steps
- Reorder steps by dragging and dropping
Creating Recipe Variants
Save multiple versions of a recipe:
- Open the recipe you want to adapt
- Click “Save As” instead of “Edit”
- Give your variant a new name
- Make your modifications
- Both versions will be saved in your collection
Recipe Revision History
Access previous versions of your recipes:
- Open a recipe you’ve edited
- Click the “History” button
- View a list of all previous versions with dates
- Restore any previous version if needed
