👁️ Making the recipe more readable
Cooked.wiki offers several ways to customize how recipes appear, making them easier to read and follow while cooking.
Display Options
Adjust how recipes appear on your screen:
- Click the “Display Options” button in the top-right corner of any recipe
- Choose from different layouts (compact, standard, or expanded)
- Adjust text size using the font size controls
- Toggle between light and dark modes for different lighting conditions
Reader Mode
Activate Reader Mode for a distraction-free experience:
- Click the “Reader Mode” button on any recipe
- All ads, comments, and non-essential content will be hidden
- The recipe will be reformatted for maximum readability
- Instructions and ingredients will be prominently displayed
Accessibility Features
Cooked.wiki includes several accessibility enhancements:
- High contrast mode: Improves readability for visually impaired users
- Screen reader optimization: Properly labeled elements for screen readers
- Voice control: Navigate recipes using voice commands
- Focus mode: Highlights the current step you’re working on
Print Layout
Generate print-friendly versions of recipes:
- Click the “Print” button on any recipe
- Choose between compact or detailed print layouts
- Select which sections to include (ingredients, instructions, notes, etc.)
- Print or save as PDF for offline use
