📚 Sharing your cookbook with other people
Share your favorite recipes and collections with friends, family, and the Cooked.wiki community.
Sharing Individual Recipes
Share specific recipes with others:
- Open the recipe you want to share
- Click the “Share” button at the top of the recipe page
- Choose your sharing method (direct link, email, social media)
- Set permissions (view only, can edit, can comment)
- Add a personal message (optional)
Sharing Entire Collections
Share groups of recipes at once:
- Go to your “Collections” page
- Select the collection you want to share
- Click the “Share Collection” button
- Choose recipients and permission levels
- Recipients will receive a notification with access to the collection
Creating Public Cookbooks
Share your recipes with the wider community:
- Create a new collection or select an existing one
- Go to collection settings
- Toggle the “Public” setting to ON
- Your collection will appear in public searches and the community section
- Set whether others can clone your recipes to their own collections
Collaborative Cooking
Work together on recipe collections:
- Create a collection to collaborate on
- Share it with specific users, selecting “Can Edit” permission
- Collaborators can add, edit, or remove recipes from the collection
- Track changes in the collection’s activity log
- Communicate with collaborators using the collection’s comment section
Cookbook Privacy Settings
Control access to your shared recipes:
- Go to “Privacy Settings” in your profile
- Set default sharing permissions for new recipes
- Choose who can see your public profile and collections
- Manage or revoke access to previously shared content
- Create invite-only collections for private sharing
